The VPS  has more data threat than dedicated servers as they are nothing but shared servers. The price of the VPS is much lesser than Dedicated Servers which is a benefit for the VPS users.

To talk about the functionality,Dedicated servers are stable and offer good performance, but it does not mean that VPS’s are by anyways inferior.VPS too is stable under normal circumstances.At situations when there is a sudden flow of traffic to any of the websites hosted on the physical server,performance of other accounts/websites may become slower. But,if the server hardware used by the host is of good quality then there is a chance that there would not be any effect on the other VPS accounts.

As a matter of fact, a VPS is a server that is a mixture of benefits of shared and dedicated servers.Basically,choosing a server depends on the requirements of your website/s,accordingly you need to decide the package or the hosting solution for the optimum performance of your web site. Both the services are equally good, but it mostly depends upon the hosting provider that you choose to host your website/s.
